Welcome to the Momentum Center! I am Dr. Cosha Peterson, and I am glad you are here.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist; I provide individualized psychological assessments for individuals of all ages. I specialize in Neurodevelopmental disorders, including developmental delays, Autism, and ADHD. I practice from a neurodiversity perspective; there is a great variety in how individuals perceive and respond to their world. Although evaluations often include a diagnosis (or label) I will also strive to provide clarity to you for yourself or your family member about your own strengths and abilities.
I completed my Masters and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling Psychology at the University of Missouri in 2010. I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology at APA-accredited Fielding Graduate University. My dissertation focused on adaptive skill benefits of social exposure for young children with Autism. I have practiced in a variety of settings, including an inpatient hospital, elementary school, small and large community agencies, and a LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) institute. I am a Parent-Child Interaction Therapy certified clinician. My extensive assessment experience and focus on family systems allows me to conduct testing from a client and family centered approach.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy spending time with my own kiddos and spouse. I love plants, children’s literature, and being outside when the weather is perfect.
